What I've Been Doing

Because it's been so long since I've last posted, I thought it only fair if I tell you what I've been doing-- so busy!-- this past week or so that's kept me away from all of this posting. I'm sure that that sentence made more sense in my head... Anyway, onto the list!

Dealt with various health issues. (i.e., a migraine lasting over a week, a period that wasn't supposed to happen, and a lot of pain-- I think might've been an ovarian cyst bursting-- that left me doubled over and freaked out my manager enough to send me home ten minutes early.)
Finally got my migraine medication after two months of dealing with an HMO.
Finally got my game and have been playing it whenever I can.
Playing phone tag with various doctors' offices and HMOs. And not over the migraine medication this time.
Pouting over the lack of new Lost episodes.
Realized that no one in my family knows squat about sports when it comes to trivia. Really, we were pathetic. And we were playing the game wrong, I think. But The Boy did get an answer right that stumped all of the adults. He now thinks he's smarter than all of us.
Gained a whole 6 pounds. Stupid cookies and cakes and Godiva chocolates.
Had another barely 20-something offered up to me for dating purposed. I declined once again. But at least this one had green eyes.
Might've been hit on by the security guard at work. I'm never sure.. And, no, he's not my type.
Was sent back to my former department at work. Meaning that I get a dollar less per hour and no more commission. But my manager loudly cheered and did a mini happy dance when she saw me. I, however, did not do a happy dance.
Spent way too much money on jewelry for me and the kids because I was so upset that my hourglass pendant broke and the sand spilled out. I have to see if that can be fixed..
Realized that despite the bad start to the new year-- or maybe because of it-- I'm feeling rather optimistic about the rest of the year. I've never had a year start out badly and end badly. Famous last words?

Mmmmm Godiva ice cream!
No adrenalin rush like spending money on jewlery, it's always worth it. At least you know your apprieciated by your manager, that's always nice :)
LOST starts back here next month, i am sooooooooooo looking forward to it!

I get migraines too. I feel your pain. But so sorry to know yours lasted for a week or more.
If it makes you feel any better, I too put on 5 punds over the weekend before last and thats worrying me. Guess its my equillibrium weight, you know what i mean?
I love Godiva too. And green eyes as well :)
